About

Reiki Level 1 is the foundational entry into the Usui Reiki system and focuses on self-healing, energetic awareness, and the basics of hands-on Reiki practice. In this course, students learn the history and principles of Reiki, how Reiki energy flows, and how to safely and responsibly work with it as a complementary, non-medical practice. Students are guided through chakra and energy anatomy, major body systems, and traditional Reiki hand positions for self-treatment and working with others. Emphasis is placed on grounding, intention, ethical practice, and developing confidence as a Reiki channel rather than a healer. Upon completion of the course material and quiz, students may request their Reiki Level 1 distance attunement. Once attuned, students are certified to practice Reiki Level 1 for self-healing and informal sessions with others, and may continue to deepen their practice before moving on to Reiki Level 2 when they feel called.
